Sharing during Ramadhan~
After work last friday,i drop by at the gas station for fuel and received Bubur Lambuk (a porridge mixed with beef sauteed with spices n coconut milk) which is a giveaway for customers to break fast. I love the idea of giving and sharing during this month. I would imagine rite now at the Holiest Place on earth in Makkah Al-Mukarammah it would be a feast at Masjidil Haram during Iftar. With ppl from all walks of life sharing their dates, bread, tea or any meal they have. I love the fact that they eat together, the togetherness that bond us muslims during this time. Btw,my wishful thinking is to be at Makkah during Ramadhan,i hope it'll come true one day.
It is also highly encouraged to feed a fellow muslim for the sake of Allah during this time. It seems easy to gain all the good deeds and multiple it everyday. All praises to Allah if all the ppl out there is doing that without any intention to show off as sincerity is very precious.
Siti Muslimah handed out freebies to me with her sweet smile, very 'mesra' indeed~*Mesra = warm
quote:
"Whoever feeds a fasting person will have a reward like that of the fasting person, without any reduction in his reward."
[At-Tirmidhi, authenticated by Al-Albani (rahimahullaah).]
It has been explained by the people of knowledge that whoever gives a Muslim something to break his fast with, he will receive this reward that came in this hadith. "Breaks" is a general word and giving him dates is considered breaking. The sunnah is to break your fasting by dates, as has been narrated by Anas (radiallaahu ‘anhu), who said, "The Messenger of Allaah (salallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam) used to break his Saum (fasting) before performing Maghrib prayer with three fresh date-fruits; if there were no fresh date-fruits, he would eat three dry dates; and if there were no dry date-fruits; he would take three draughts of water." [At-Tirmidhi]
Suggestion: Buy a box [or boxes] of dates, and hand it [them] over to the masjid, for the sake of none but Allaah, to provide to the worshippers at the time of breaking the fast.
Anas (radiallaahu ‘anhu) reported: The Prophet (salallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam) came to visit Sa’d bin ‘Ubadah (radiallaahu ‘anhu) who presented bread and olive oil to him. The Prophet (salallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam) ate it and said, "The observers of fast have broken their fast with you (this is the literal translation, but the meaning is: ‘May Allaah reward you for providing a fasting people with food to break their fast’); the pious people have eaten your food and the angels invoked blessings on you." [Abu Dawud]
Shaykh Muhammad bin Saalih Al-’Uthaimeen (rahimahullaah) said,
"Those who have the ability should strive to feed those who are fasting (when it’s time to break the fast) either in the masaajid or in other places. This is since whoever feeds a fasting person, he will receive the same reward as the one fasting. So if a person feeds his brothers who are fasting, he will receive the same reward as them. Therefore, those whom Allaah has granted wealth should take advantage of this opportunity to obtain a great reward."

Eat ♥ Pray ♥ Love ♥
Reasons to watch it definitely would be firstly Julia Roberts is starred in it secondly the story is more or less about how a woman moved on after a failed marriage (like hello!) and how she embarks on a journey of self-discovery and soul searching and thirdly of course we get to drool at the hunk James Franco whom has the sweetest smile ever, the kindda smile that smiles with his eyes, and makes me wanna sing...aww~ So i'm gonna force my single buddy nieta to watch it with me.

The Right to Live Our Life~
Try to listen to this amazing piece by Sami Yusuf, which incorporated some Spanish verses and the piece were even embellished with some sirah information regarding David (Prophet Daud a.s.) and Goliath. The turbulence Palestine had undergone was persistent throughout the history of mankind! But with no contradiction, i am feeling really blessed to be born here in our beautiful land,Malaysia despite all the flaws our Country has...(I'm So feeling it because it's our Independence Month as i am Proud to be Malaysian, hehe)
"Sami Yusuf Try Not To Cry lyrics"
You, you’re not aware
That we’re aware
Of your despair
Don’t show your tears
To your oppressor
Don’t show your tears
Chorus:
Try not to cry little one
You’re not alone
I’ll stand by you
Try not to cry little one
My heart is your stone
I’ll throw with you
Isam:
‘ayn jalut where david slew goliath
This very same place that we be at
Passing through the sands of times
This land’s been the victim of countless crimes
From crusaders and mongols
To the present aggression
Then the franks, now even a crueller oppression
If these walls could speak,
Imagine what would they say
For me in this path that i walk on
There's only one way
Bullets may kill, bones may break
Still i throw stones like david before me and i say
Chorus
You, you’re not aware
That we’re aware
Of your despair
Your nightmares will end
This i promise, i promise
Chorus
Lenny:
No llores, no pierdas la fe
La sed la calma el que haze
Agua de la arena
Y tu que te levantas con orgullo entre las piedras
Haz hecho mares de este polvo
Don’t cry, don’t lose faith
The one who made water come out of the sand
Is the one who quenches the thirst
And you who rise proud from between the stones
Have made oceans from this dust
Waqas:
I throw stones at my eyes
’cause for way too long they’ve been dry
Plus they see what they shouldn’t from oppressed babies to thighs
I throw stones at my tongue
’cause it should really keep its peace
I throw stones at my feet
’cause they stray and lead to defeat
A couple of big ones at my heart
’cause the thing is freezing cold
But my nafs is still alive
And kicking unstoppable and on a roll
I throw bricks at the devil so i’ll be sure to hit him
But first at the man in the mirror
So i can chase out the venom
Isam:
Hmm, a little boy shot in the head
Just another kid sent out to get some bread
Not the first murder nor the last
Again and again a repetition of the past
Since the very first day same story
Young ones, old ones, some glory
How can it be, has the whole world turned blind?
Or is it just ’cause it’s only affecting my kind?!
If these walls could speak,
Imagine what would they say
For me in this path that i walk on
There’s only one way
Bullets may kill, bones may break
Still i throw stones like david before me and i say

Bandung Trip~
arriving at Saekarno Hatta Jakarta, International Airport via MAS

enjoying lunchie at Rumah Makan Lembur Kuning, a sundanese restaurant...
The journey to Bandung from Jakarta was not smooth sailing at all. Since it's The Wesak Day break everyone from Jakarta seems to have the same intention which is to spend their weekend in Bandung,so the traffic congestion was crazy. We had a few hiccups along the way that requires the bus to stop for some minor repairment. We managed to enjoy the Paddy View whilst waiting for the bus to get back on track....Due to the traffic jam and the fact that it is a long weekend we arrived in Bandung almost at 8pm and it was just about time for Dinner. We later checked in at the New Sany Rosa which is located within a walking distance to Rumah Mode, Donatella n etc....Paris Van Java Mall is also situated nearby,it is called Jalan Sukajadi which is for me looks somehow like Bangsar Area, very happening at night.

the Duramen fish is absolutely a must try~
The Next day after breakfast we headed to Tangkuban Perahu, a famous tourist destination in Bandung. It is freezing cold up there and the early morning breeze is absolutely refreshing.Tangkuban Perahu is an active volcano 30 km north of the city of Bandung, the provincial capital city of West Java,Indonesia. You can also buy eggs and try to cook it on the hot surface.
Day 2

The highlight of the itinerary is definitely shopping. We went to Pasar Baru that sell stuff (material, french lace and etc, telekung, clothing, muslim clothing and more) and also later we went to the Factory Outlet. My favourite place to shop would definitely be Rumah Mode, as you can find lots of things under one roof and the price is reasonable. Due to traffic congestion we have to make a tough call whether to go to a certain places only so we ended up not covering most of the shopping outlet in Bandung.I regret tho, going to Jeans Street cause for me there's not much choice of things to buy there and frankly the shops seems a bit on the dodgy side.
at the infamous pasar baru
shopping at factory outlet in Bandung, love to shop there especially at Rumah Mode~
The next morning, we left for Jakarta and made a pit stop at Kartika Sari a very well known Bakery store in Bandung. You are spoiled with lotsa choice of yummy pastries there and of course they are famous with Pisang Oden, and also their brownies. The cheese and Almond brownies are my favourite but personally i prefer Amanda's for the steam ones.
Stock up on brownies at Kartika Sari
having breakfast at Ibis Hotel Jakarta with my roomie,Azlinda
final shopping destination at mangga dua and our last lunch before departing back to Malaysia

The New Life~
A lot of my friends didn't know about it,except for the really close ones and of course my families. Some came with surprises look, as they didn't expect it at all and some got the nerve to ask some lame questions, like ''he cheated on you huh" i'm like what? and even some person from the office whom i just bump into at the toilet that have known the news through the grapevine, (eventho she's from different division, but obviously government ladies love to talk esp about malicious rumours) suddenly give me advice to find bachelors and never go for someone's husband. Omg!!! Please Get a life!!! I'm not even ready to start dating yet and to think of finding a replacement,no not just yet ~Besides, getting back to single is not bad at all.
Only Allah have all the reasons for all the things that happens in my life as it is inscribed in the Book of Decrees (al-lawh al Mahfuz"),before we bring it into existence. I have a positive outlook in life and surely will be stronger and try to overcome any pessimist i met during this turmoil i am facing. As you know what they said that "You never know how strong you are,Until Being strong is the only choice you have"...
Here i would like to acknowledge my Special Gratitude to All my Friends whom have been there for me, hearing me rant over and over again during that time i was sinking rock bottom...You all know who you are. I am very blessed to have all of you as my friends. My Heartfelt Thank you to all of you from the bottom of my heart.
Let's just hope that :
"Soon the Flowers will bloom, Grief will depart and Happiness will Prevail"
